MASONRY

The masonry trade is hard work but I like it. Quite often it varies from job to job and state to state. In a lot of places other than south Florida you get a lot of brick jobs. I am still an apprentice but I have banged around a little bit. I have lived in other states where there is more brick work so I have layed more brick than block but now that I live here in sunny south Florida it is primarily block work. There is a difference (a lot of people don't know) between block, brick and stone...I will add better pictures when I can :)

Brick - Standard brick

Stone - This is coral stone from the Florida Keys...it is pretty difficult to work with...it is crumbly shitty stone and really doesn't look that good but whatever...experience is experience. Generally you don't see a lot of stone work down this way. Only the stone below the stairs is mine (This is the first stone wall I ever built).
